Organ Concert with Morten Ladehoff

Three lunchtime organ concerts on Thursdays at 1:00 PM. Traditionally, tourists as well as the city's own citizens are invited to gather at the church square on Thursdays during the summer. Outside the church, Menighedsplejen provides pancakes, and inside the church, three organ concerts of half an hour's duration are held, with free admission. Thursday, July 2 and 9 at 1:00 PM - Organ concerts with Jan Ole Vanggaard. At these two concerts, the organist of Klosterkirken will be at the keys and will play works by Bach, Franck, Alain, etc. In connection with the concerts, Jan Ole will talk about the church's organs and the music he plays. Free admission. Thursday, July 30 at 1:00 PM – Organ concert with Morten Ladehoff. Morten Ladehoff, who is the cathedral organist in Viborg, will present a program with music from the Baroque period to the present at this concert. Hear, among other things, Bach's beautiful prelude and fugue in C major (BWV 547) as well as Cesar Franck's deeply beautiful Pastorale. In addition, Morten Ladehoff will play a couple of his own compositions that are more experimental in expression and approach to the organ. Morten Ladehoff has, among other things, held concerts in Denmark and abroad, participated in radio and TV broadcasts, and recorded CDs.
